Reviewing Estimates
Reviewing estimates allows you to make corrections to the estimate before uploading files to your business partner. By correcting compliance exceptions before uploading, you facilitate the business partner's ability to process the claim more quickly.
During the compliance review process, Estimate Review compares an estimate to the associated profile to verify that it meets established guidelines. The guidelines can be used to ensure compliance with insurance company requirements, or adherence to your own business practices.
Note: Before you can review any estimates, you must first complete Setup and Download or Create a profile. |
You can configure Estimate Review to review estimates on demand, or automatically.
- Automatic Review reviews estimates automatically, as soon as an .ems file is detected.
- On Demand Review allows you to review estimates as-needed.
You can also delete reviewed estimate files, and view log files. Log files provide a summary of the review and are generated only if the profile is set up to create a Log File History.
Non-Standard Estimate Repair Lines
Entering estimate repair lines manually may cause some variation in the standard item description. In some cases, the item indicated in the Actual column may not match the repair line item. For example, “Frame Rack Setup” will be indicated in the Actual column if the repair line item is:
- Frame Rack Set-Up
- Setup & Measure
- Frame Set-Up
- Frame/Rack Set Up
- Setup Frame System
