Actual Hours
Use the Actual Hours tab to manually enter actual time worked. Actual hours are used to calculate an employee's efficiency (assigned hours divided by actual hours).
Note: This tab is available if the Labor Management module is licensed but the Shop Clock feature is not.
How to

- From an open repair order, click the Labor tab and then click Job Actual Hours.
- From the labor list, select the labor type to be logged.
-
Directly below the labor list is a small table listing the technician or technicians assigned to that labor. If multiple technicians are assigned to that labor, select the technician who's actual hours are being logged.
-
In the lower part of the tab, adjust the Date, if appropriate. For hourly technicians, the actual time entered here is used for efficiency, payroll and job costing. For flat rate and commission technicians, the actual time is only being used for efficiency calculations.
-
Double-click in the Hrs Worked field, type in the actual hours, and then click Post.

- Click the Labor menu
or click the arrow under the Labor menu, and then click Actual Hours.
- Select a technician from the list.
- The list in the bottom section of the tab shows the repair orders assigned to the selected technician. Only assigned jobs appear in this list.
Note: There is a separate line for each repair order and labor type (Dept.) combination assigned to the tech.
- Select the posting date from the following drop-down calendar. For hourly techs, this simultaneously records payroll and job costing (flag) for the technician on the date selected.
- Adjust the Out Date between fields in order to reflect all of the open repair orders.
-
Multiple repair orders and labor type (Dept.) combinations can appear in the list. Click the line representing the repair order and labor type (Dept.) combination you wish to enter actual hours.
-
Double-click in the Hrs Worked field and enter the number of actual hours.
- Press Enter and verify the remaining hours total within the Hrs Left field to confirm that the hours posted are reflected correctly.
