Installing the GPS Device Plugin
Before you can update your GPS device with the assignments on your mobile itinerary board you must install the GPS device's plug-in.
You only have to do this one time for each computer you want to
connect with a GPS unit.
Before you begin
- Make sure you are connected to the Internet.
- Close all open programs except the WorkCenter Dispatch Mobile program window.
- Disconnect the USB cable from your GPS device.
To install the Garmin Plugin
- At the bottom of the list of assignments, click Get Garmin Plugin.
The Garmin Communicator Plugin page opens in a new window.
- Click Download for Windows.
The File Download Security window appears.
- Click Run.
You may need to click Run again. The Garmin license agreement window appears.
- Select I accept the terms in the License Agreement, then click Next.
The confirmation window asks you to close all Web browsers.
- Click Next.
Installation begins. Then, the Installation Complete window appears.
- Click Done.
The Garmin Plugin Test page opens in a browser. You may need to install Garmin USB drivers.
You must restart your computer to complete installation.
