Merge Assignment with Mitchell Cloud Estimating Estimate

Use the merge feature to merge an estimate or a job you created for a walk-in customer with an assignment sent from an insurance company. This feature avoids duplicate jobs when you complete an estimate for a walk-in customer before you receive an assignment from an insurance company. This feature also prevents you from having to enter administrative information manually, as the information sent from the insurance company is merged with the job you created.

This feature includes the option to merge:

  • Estimate lines and attachments only.

  • Estimate lines, attachments, and administrative information (like contacts).

The status on the job with the original estimate is changed to Closed to avoid confusing that job with the new assignment.
