Merge Assignment with Estimate in UltraMate
If the workflow from your insurance company allows you to start an estimate prior to receiving assignment details, you can use the merge feature in UltraMate to merge the assignment with your estimate.
Note: This feature may not be available for all workflows.
How to

If you need to start an estimate before receiving the assignment in Mitchell Connect, review the steps below to merge the assignment from Mitchell Connect with the estimate you created in UltraMate.
- Complete the estimate in UltraMate but do not commit the estimate.
- When the assignment arrives in Mitchell Connect, download the assignment from Mitchell Connect to UltraMate.
- Click the Assignments tab in UltraMate.

Select the assignment, and then click Merge. The Merge Assignment dialog box appears listing the current estimates. You can sort the list by clicking the column headings.
- Select the estimate you created, and then click Merge. A notification appears indicating that the vehicle and customer information will be overwritten.
- Click Yes. The merged estimate is now found on the Estimate tab in UltraMate.
Note: Information from the assignment (e.g. Claim number, deductible, DOL, Reviewer ID, etc.) is merged with the estimate.
- Click the Estimate tab in UltraMate. Open, complete, and commit the estimate.
- Add the estimate to Mitchell Connect.
