Prior Damage Worksheet

Use the Prior Damage Worksheet to record details of prior damage to the loss vehicle. From the Prior Damage Worksheet you can choose to use a total loss valuation prior damage estimation, enter a specific amount of prior damage, or calculate prior damage for the loss vehicle using available vehicle information and pre-existing damage adjustments.

Closed To view/update a prior damage worksheet

  1. From the Breakeven Analysis or Settlement Summary, click an underlined value for Prior Damage Adjustment.
  2. Do one of the following:
  • Click Use TL Valuation Prior Damage to use the total loss valuation of prior damage for the loss vehicle.
  • Click Prior Damage and enter a prior damage amount for the loss vehicle.
  • Click Calculate Prior Damage to enter a PED Estimate and Adjustment % to calculate a PED (Pre-existing Damage) Total.
  1. Click Save and Close.

Option Description

Use TL Valuation Prior Damage

Select to use the total loss valuation estimate of prior damage.

Prior Damage

Select to enter a specific value for prior damage.

Calculate Prior Damage

Select to use the Vehicle Information and Pre-existing Damage Adjustment fields to calculate prior damage for the loss vehicle.

Pre-existing Damage Adjustment fields include

  • PED Estmate. Enter the estimated cost of the pre-existing damage.
  • Adjustment %. Enter the percentage of pre-existing damage cost to apply to the loss vehicle.
  • PED Total. Review the PED (Pre-existing Damage) Total.

Comments

Enter any comments that apply to the prior damage on the loss vehicle.
