Resolve Ambiguous Vehicle IDs

If multiple entries for the VIN are found in the database, you will be prompted to identify the correct description. For example, the same VIN may be assigned to a vehicle that is available with either a manual or automatic transmission. The Resolve Ambiguous Vehicle IDs window lists the entries that were found in each database. The check box of any description that needs clarification will not be selected. To resolve the ambiguous Vehicle ID, select the check box of the correct description. For more information, see the Reference section below.

To Resolve Ambiguous Vehicle IDs

  1. When prompted to resolve the Vehicle ID, look for multiple entries under a database header. The check box will not be selected for any entry that needs a resolution.
