Import Directories

Use the Import Directories tab to specify the location of directories that contain data files which can be imported into a valuation worksheet. The selection of fields included in an import file is determined by the estimating program that was used to generate the data. For more information, see the Reference section below.

To enter the location of import directories

  1. From Platform Setup, click the Import Directories tab.
  2. In the MIE box, do one of the following:
  3. Type the path to the location of .mie files stored on your computer.
  4. Click Browse and navigate to the import directory. Then, click OK to save the path.

  2. Type the path to the location of .ems files stored on your computer.
  3. Click Browse and navigate to the import directory. Then, click OK to save the path.
  1. Click OK to save the paths.

MIE

Type the path to the location of your .mie files, or click Browse to navigate to the directory.

Mitchell Import/Export is a proprietary file format used by Mitchell applications. The file name is based on the last eight characters of the external estimate ID, followed by the .mie  extension.

Data imported from .mie files includes the Company Code and Reviewer ID, in addition to most of the fields in the Admin and Vehicle sections of the worksheet.

WorkCenter Total Loss supports .mie files created by the following applications:

  • UltraMate (all supported versions)
     

EMS

Type the path to the location of your .ems files, or click Browse to navigate to the directory.

A CIECA-standard file format that allows for the transfer of estimate data between estimating and management systems. WorkCenter Total Loss  supports .ems data files created by the following applications:

  • ADP Shoplink
  • CCC Pathways
  • ADP PenPro
  • Mitchell UltraMate (all supported versions)

 

Browse
Click Browse to navigate to the import directory. Then, click OK to save the path.

OK
Click OK to save the company settings.


 

Cancel
Click Cancel to close without saving the company settings.
