Vehicle Condition (Specialty)
The Vehicle Condition section of the valuation request worksheet provides information that is used to make adjustments to the valuation based on the condition of the vehicle.
WorkCenter Total Loss offers a choice of two condition rating methods for most specialty valuations. The setting is determined by the Condition Rating Type field in the application profile of the carrier. The settings are "Age" and "Universal," which is the default. The "Universal" condition rating compares the loss vehicle to a predetermined conditioning rating, based on the combined vehicle year and vehicle segment data. The age-specific methodology rates all vehicles as a "3" out of a possible "5."
Note: If the condition ratings are outside the typical vehicle condition score set in your company profile, you may see an anomalous condition warning before proceeding with your valuation. If you see this warning, you can confirm or return to correct the condition ratings. Valuations submitted with anomalous conditions trigger audit task assignments.
