Analyzer Settings

The Estimate Analyzer is a licensable add-on module. You can use this tool to monitor specific information created in your estimating system.

Profiles

A profile can be set up to apply to specific insurance companies. Profiles can also be cloned, imported, or exported. Cloning a profile allows you to copy an entire profile that needs only minor adjustments that pertain to your particular DRP relationships.

ClosedTo create a profile

  1. Click More , then click Configuration . Select the Analyzer tab. The Profile tab is open by default.
  2. In the Profile Namebox, right-click and select Add.
  3. Enter the new profile name, then click OK.
  4. Enter a description of the profile
  5. Select the insurance company or companies to which the profile will be applied.
  6. Click Update.
  7. Proceed to the Business Rules tab to continue entering the profile settings. (See below.)

ClosedTo import a profile

  1. Click More , then click Configuration . Select the Analyzer tab. The Profile tab is open by default.
  2. In the Profile Name box, right-click and select Import Profile.
  3. A file browser opens. Select the profile to be imported and click Open.

ClosedTo clone a profile

  1. Click More , then click Configuration . Select the Analyzer tab. The Profile tab is open by default.
  2. Highlight the profile to be cloned.
  3. In the Profile Name box, right-click and select Clone Profile.
  4. Enter a new Profile Name, then click OK.
  5. Select the cloned profile and proceed through each tab to adjust settings for the new profile.
  6. Click Update to save the changes.

Business Rules

The Business Rules tab is used to set up Business Rules in the EMS Analyzer to review labor rates, FastLane potential, Parts Usage, and Operations percentages.

ClosedTo set the Analyzer rules

  1. Click More , then click Configuration . Select the Analyzer tab. In the Profiles tab, select the profile for which you will be setting the rules.
  2. Select the Business Rules tab.
  3. In the Labor Rates area:
  4. Double click a number to change it, establishing the labor Rate and the maximum amount (Max Amt).
  5. If desired, double-click in the Max Hrs column to set the Maximum Labor Hours allowed on a job.
  6. Select the check box in the E column to enable the labor rates entered. This check box must be selected or the rule will not be activated.
  1. If you use FastLane:
  2. Set the Maximum Labor Hours.
  3. Set the Maximum Number of Panels.
  4. Select to include Frame Labor and/or Mechanical Labor. You can also list exceptions to the mechanical labor by right-clicking and selecting Add.
  1. In the Parts Usage area, double-click a number to change it. You can:
  • Set specific percentages.
  • Specify maximum dollar amounts.
  • Apply to certain vehicles by age and mileage.
  • Choose to check for markups or discounts.
  • Indicate if the Calculated Percentages are based upon Parts Only or on the Whole Estimate.
  1. Specify the Hours per Day Cycle Time Requirement.
  2. In the Operations Percentages area, set the amount of repair versus replacement across the whole estimate.
  3. Click Update.

Admin Data Audit

Under the Admin Data Audit tab, you can set the Analyzer to audit the administration information within the estimate.

ClosedTo set the Admin Analyzer settings

  1. Click More , then click Configuration . Select the Analyzer tab. In the Profiles tab, select the profile for which you will be creating the Admin settings.
  2. Select the Admin Data Audit tab
  3. Under Audit Admin Data, select the information you want the Analyzer to look for.
  4. In the Materials list, double-click a number in the Max Amt and/or Max Hrs column to change it.
  5. Enter a number in the Apply All Rules to Vehicles No Older than ___ years to make this criteria applicable.
  6. Select the Check for Duplicate Estimate Lines check box, If desired.
  7. Click Update.

Repair Lines

The Analyzer looks for specific lines to see if they fall within the specifications as set up in this tab. If a line does not match the parameters, you receive a notification during import. You can include as much or as little detail as you desire for each line.

ClosedTo specify line information

  1. Click More , then click Configuration . Select the Analyzer tab. In the Profiles tab, select the profile for which you will be creating the Lines settings.
  2. Select the Repair Lines tab
  3. Lines marked Reqd will be those lines examined by the Analyzer.
  4. You can choose an Exact match, or a Minimum or Maximum for the Amount, Labor, and/or Paint criteria
  5. You can further select:
  6. One of the following: A (Parts AM), L (Parts LKQ), or R (Parts Reconditioned).
  7. B for betterment.
  8. M for Mechanical.
  9. S for Sublet.
  1. When you have set the parameters for all the lines to be analyzed, click Update.

Dependencies

The Dependencies tab is used to set up those lines requiring other included lines.

ClosedTo set dependencies for the Analyzer

  1. Click More , then click Configuration . Select the Analyzer tab. In the Profiles tab, select the profile for which you will be creating the Dependency settings.
  2. Select the Dependencies tab
  3. Select the check box of a line that will require a dependency.
  4. For each line, you can change the For this operation and the check for this settings by clicking in the column and selecting a different operation from the drop-down list.
  5. If you wish to add a new line, right-click anywhere in the list and select Add. A new blank line will be added at the bottom of the list.
  6. On the new line, enter the desired information, then click Update. The new line will take its place in the alphabetical order of the list.

Profile Tab

Name

List of existing profiles.

Name:

Name of the profile selected in the Name list.

Description:

A description of the selected profile.

This Profile applies to the following Insurance Companies:

The insurance companies associated with the selected profile.

Business Rules Tab

Labor Rates across Entire Estimate

Rate, Maximum Amount, and Maximum Hours for each department. Select the E check box to activate the rule for that department line.

Maximum Labor Hours

The maximum labor hours permitted.

Parts Usage across Entire Estimate

Type of parts, Percent, Maximum Amount, Age requirement, Mileage, Markup, and Discount. Select the E check box to activate the rule for that part line.

Calculate Percentage based upon

Select either Parts Only or Whole Estimate.

FastLane settings

Maximum Labor Hours.

Maximum Number of Panels.

If check box is selected, No Frame Labor will be included in FastLane ROs.

If check box is selected, No Mechanical will be included in FastLane ROs. If there are exceptions, add them to the field provided below the check box.

Cycle Time Requirement

The Hours Per Day for Cycle Time Requirement.

Operations Percentages

Percent of Repair.

Percent of Replace.

Admin Audit Data tab

Audit Admin Data

Select the check box for each piece of  administrative information you want the system to check.

Other Items

Apply All Rules to Vehicles No Older than ____ Years: Limit the analysis to cars in a certain age range.

Check for Duplicate Estimate Lines: self-explanatory.

Materials

Enable or disable the analysis of specific material parts.

Repair Lines tab: for each line description, specify what the Analyzer should check for

Reqd

Only the lines with this check box selected will be analyzed.

Exact
Min
Max

You can choose to match an exact Amount, Labor, or Paint criteria, or set a Minimum or Maximum.

Amount

Specify a dollar amount for the line item.

Labor

Labor hours per line item.

Paint

Paint hours per line item.
