Copy an Existing Estimate on the Same Job

Use the Copy Estimate feature to begin a new estimate by draft by copying an existing estimate on the same job. Use this feature to help differentiate related and unrelated damage to a claim. You can include the vehicle and contact information from the existing estimate, with the option of including the existing estimate repair lines.

You can also delete copied estimates in Mitchell Connect, if it has not been shared with the insurance company.

How to

Note: This feature is only available to customers in Europe at this time.

  1. Click the Estimate Card on the Job Overview page. The Estimate page appears.
  2. On the top right corner of the page, click Copy.
  3. Select one of the following:
  • Full Estimate: Copies the full estimate with all estimate lines.
  • Vehicle and Contact Information Only: Copies only the vehicle information and the owner's contact information, without existing estimate lines.
  1. Select the reason for copying the estimate from the Reason list.
  2. Enter additional notes as needed.
  3. Click Copy.

You can delete an estimated you recently copied or wrote in Mitchell Connect if you haven't sent it to the insurance company.

Note: This feature is not available to all users. It is only available to users with the ability to copy estimates.

  1. On the Job Overview page, click Delete on the Estimate Card for the estimate you want to delete.

  2. Click Continue at the prompt, and then click Done.
