Add a Supplement without Mitchell Cloud Estimating

1. Open a job with an existing estimate.
2. On the Estimate card, click View or Supplement.

   

3. Complete and set your Supplement to Committed in your estimating system.
4. In Mitchell Connect, click Add Completed Estimate.
5. Mitchell Connect automatically opens the corresponding PDF. Click Add Estimate.

   

6. If you are ready to send to the insurance company, click Send.

You can add supplements from the Estimate page.

1. If you have multiple estimates on the job, click the estimate total on the Estimate card from the Job Overview page. The Estimate page appears showing a list of estimates.
2. On the Estimate page, click Add Estimate. The existing estimate is loaded back to your estimating system for editing.

   

3. Complete and commit your supplement in your estimating system.
4. Mitchell Connect shows your most recent estimates. Use the Date Range list to search for older estimates if needed.

   

5. Select the desired estimate.
6. Submit your update and supportive documents when complete.

You can delete changes you made to the estimate before you send your changes to the insurance company from the Job Overview page. The estimate reverts back to the previous estimate. Your changes are removed from Mitchell Connect and your estimating system.

1. On the Estimate card with a completed Supplement, click Discard Changes.

   Note: You can only discard changes if you have not uploaded your updated estimate or supplement to Mitchell Connect.

   

2. Click Continue. Any changes you made to your estimate are removed from your estimating system.

   

3. Click Done.

   

You can view and print appraisal and supplement assignment details as a PDF to view and print. The insurance company may use annotations to make note of corrections or other changes. View those changes on the Assignment Details window. Changes are shown in red.

1. From the Job Overview page, click the menu icon on the Estimate or Repair Assignment card.
2. Select View Details.

   

3. In the Assignment Details window, review the annotations.

   

4. Click Print to print the changes or Close to close the window.

5. On the Job Overview card, click the Messages tab to view your annotation.

Some staff appraisers with cross supplementation can retrieve Mitchell estimates from UltraMate or Mitchell Cloud Estimating in Mitchell Connect, and view the PDF or write a supplement.

Note: This feature is only available to some staff appraisers and is not available for all workflows. Please consult the workflow guide for your insurance company partners to see if this option is available to you.

This feature allows staff users to retrieve previously available Mitchell Estimates and write a supplement without waiting for a supplement assignment to be dispatched. Once the supplement is written from a retrieved estimate, staff users can send the supplement back to the insurance company using Mitchell Connect.

Note: The estimate must be unlocked and you can only supplement the latest version of the estimate.

1. On the Tasks list in Mitchell Connect, click Retrieve Estimate.

   

2. In the Retrieve Estimate window, enter the claim number in the Claim Number window, and then click . The claim number must match exactly.

   

   Tip: You can print previous estimates in the list if you want to review older estimates in detail. Click the print icon next to the estimate you want to print. The estimate opens as a PDF which you can print or save to your computer.

3. Click Retrieve for Supplement. A supplement assignment is created and assigned to you, allowing you to supplement the estimate. Review and follow any prompts as needed.

   Note: If there is already a supplement assignment, a message appears showing the name of the user working on the estimate. If the estimate is in a retrievable state, then the active assignment is replaced and the new assignment is assigned to you. Work from the previous estimate is retained and not lost.

4. The Job Overview page opens directly to the job. Click Supplement on the estimate card to begin writing your supplement.

Write a supplement for an UltraMate estimate in Mitchell Cloud Estimating. This feature is available for cross supplementation with Mitchell Cloud Estimating. The estimate must be committed and must be shared. If a lock icon appears on the Estimate card, the estimate is locked by the insurance company and a supplement cannot be written until the estimate is unlocked.

1. On the Job Overview page, click Supplement on the Estimate card. You will see a success message on the card when the supplement is downloaded.
2. Select Cloud Estimating.

   Note: Click UltraMate if you want to write the supplement in UltraMate and not Mitchell Cloud Estimating.

   

3. The Parts and Labor Data Update Available window may appear for Mitchell Cloud Estimating. Click the appropriate check boxes to apply recent updates to existing estimate lines, and then click Continue Estimate. This window only appears for Mitchell Cloud Estimating estimates.

   

4. The estimate is converted to a Mitchell Cloud Estimating estimate and opens in Mitchell Cloud Estimating.

   

5. Complete the supplement in Mitchell Cloud Estimating.

   Tip: If you want to discard your uncommitted new supplement, click Discard on the Estimate card from the Job Overview page. Your supplement is discarded and you can return to the original estimate.

6. In Mitchell Connect, click Add Completed Estimate.
7. Mitchell Connect automatically opens the corresponding PDF. Click Add Estimate.

   

8. If you are ready to send to the insurance company, click Send.
