Vehicle

1. In the open opportunity or repair order, click the Admin tab.
2. On the Opportunities list, double-click the opportunity to open the Admin page.
3. Click the Edit arrow by the information you want edit.
4. Add, modify, or delete information as needed.

• At any point before saving, you can click CancelOpp. List to discard unsaved changes and return to the List View tab or Whiteboard tabOpportunities list.

4. Click Save to save your work. You can also click Save & Send to save your changes and send the revised opportunity to the shop.

   Note: Sending the revised opportunity to the shop overwrites the shop's version of the opportunity.

Identify a vehicle by one of two methods: VIN decode (if you have the 17-character VIN) or manually.

1. To identify the primary point of impact, under Point of Impact, click a numbered circle from 1 through 13.

   You can also click a numbered circle from 14 through 21 to identify damage that doesn't involve a point of impact, such as total loss.

   

2. To identify secondary points of impact, click additional numbered circles from 1 through 21 (as many as needed).

Element	Description
VIN	If it is known, enter the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) here.
Decode	Enter the VIN, and then click this button to automatically bring in all of the vehicle information. If you delete or modify the VIN after decoding it, the identification data will be cleared until a VIN is decoded again. Any information you've entered in other sections remains. If you select the VIN Unknown check box, the Decode button appears dimmed and is unavailable.
Exterior Paint Color	The color of the paint on the vehicle.
Hat #	Identifier for the vehicle (often a magnetic, cone-shaped "hat" placed on the vehicle's roof).
License Expiration	The month and year the vehicle registration expires. Click the calendar to choose a date.
License Plate/State	The alphanumeric characters on the state-issued license plate. The state that issued the license plate.
Mileage In	The odometer reading of the vehicle when it arrives at the shop for repair.
Mileage Out	The odometer reading of the vehicle when it is returned to the customer.
Molding Code	The manufacturer information for the color of the vehicle's molding.
Paint Code 1/Paint Code 2/Paint Code 3	The manufacturer paint information for the color of the paint on the vehicle.
Production Month/Year	The month and year the vehicle was built. (This may be different from the model year.)
Stages	The number of stages required to paint the vehicle.
Tone	The number of paint codes required to achieve the paint color. You can enter a number up to three.
Trim Code	The manufacturer information for the interior color of the vehicle.
Trim Color	The color of the interior of the vehicle.
Type/Year/Make/Model/Sub-Model/Body Style/Engine/Transmission/Drivetrain	When using the VIN decode method to identify the vehicle, this information auto-populates. If the VIN does not fully decode, the list where the decoding stops is expanded so that you can select the appropriate option. Example The decode function can't determine whether the transmission is a 5-speed automatic or a 6-speed manual. A list showing these two options appears. Click the appropriate option, and then continue clicking options as each list expands until the vehicle is fully identified.
VIN Unknown	Select this check box if the VIN is not available.

Element	Description
Drivability	Whether the vehicle can be driven. Click the arrow to select another option.
Passes Safety/Released/Fluid Leaks	Additional drivability indicators. Select these check boxes as needed.
Overall Condition	The general condition of the vehicle. The default is Unknown. Click a different condition to select it.
Prior Damage	Whether the vehicle sustained previous damage. The default is None Found. Click the arrow to select another option.
Prior damage notes	Additional notes about the vehicle's previous damage. Type your notes, using the scroll bar to see entries longer than three lines.
Point of Impact	A point of impact is either primary or secondary. Example If a vehicle is rear-ended and pushed into another vehicle, the rear is the primary point of impact. The front, front-right corner, and front-right side are the secondary points of impact. The circles numbered 1 through 13 identify points of impact. The circles numbered 14 through 21 identify damage that doesn't involve a point of impact. As you select points of impact, the circles on both the diagram and the list to the right of the diagram turn red (primary) or orange (secondary). Clicking an orange circle clears it, and clicking a red circle clears all of the circles.
