Insurance

Use the Insurance section to view and enter information about the claim, insurance company, and people working on the claim (adjuster, agent). Most of this information comes into RepairCenter with the estimate. If it doesn't, or if it changes during the repair process, you can add, modify, and delete it here.

The Insurance section includes four subsections:

ClosedInsurance Company

Use the Insurance Company subsection to view and enter the names of the companies involved with the claim.

ClosedClaim

Use the Claim subsection to view and enter basic claim information.

ClosedAdjuster

Use the Adjuster subsection to view and enter information (name, phone number, email address) about the adjuster overseeing the claim.

ClosedAgent

Use the Agent subsection to view and enter information (name, phone number, email address) about the agent handling the claim.

How to

  1. In the open opportunity or repair order, click the Admin tab.
  2. On the Opportunities list, double-click the opportunity to open the Admin page.
  3. Click the Edit arrow by the information you want edit.
  4. Add, modify, or delete information as needed.
  • At any point before saving, you can click CancelOpp. List to discard unsaved changes and return to the List View tab or Whiteboard tabOpportunities list.
  1. Click Save to save your work. You can also click Save & Send to save your changes and send the revised opportunity to the shop.

    Note: Sending the revised opportunity to the shop overwrites the shop's version of the opportunity.

Component Use

Company

If communications has been configured when you select an insurance company, the communications companyClosed The insurance office that your shop communicates about a claim with. associated with the selected insurance company automatically appears here.

Customer Insurance

Click the arrow to choose the customer's insurance company, or type it in the box. If the customer's insurance company is handling the claim, choose Same as Paying Insurance Company.

Insurance Company

Click the arrow to choose the insurance company handling the claim, or type it in the box.

Reviewer ID

If configured for communications, when you select an insurance company, the adjuster's identification number automatically appears here. If there is more than one reviewer ID associated with the insurance company you selected, the list expands so that you can choose one.
Component Use

Betterment Credit

Select this check box if there is a betterment credit.

Claim Number

Type the claim number.

Date of Loss

Enter the date of loss in the box, or click the calendar to choose a date.

Deductible Amount

Drag the slider to the appropriate deductible amount, or type the amount in the box.

Deductible Credit

If there is a deductible credit, type the amount of the credit here.

DRP

Select this check box if the insurance company that issued the claim number is a DRP partner.

Policy Number

Type the policy number.

Type of Loss

Click the arrow to choose the type of loss (collision, theft, and other types of loss).

Waive Deductible

Select this check box if the deductible is waived.
Component Use

Email

Type the adjuster's email address.

First Name/Last Name

Type the adjuster's name.

Work Phone/Ext.

Type the adjuster's work phone number and extension (if applicable).
Component Use

Agent

If configured, you can click the arrow to choose an agent from the list. The name and contact methods appear in the remaining fields.

Email

Type the agent's email address.

First Name/Last Name

Type the agent's name.

Work Phone/Ext.

Type the agent's work phone number and extension (if applicable).
