Copying Profiles
You can copy a profile from one Estimate Review workstation to any number of other workstations. You must install Estimate Review on a computer before you can provide it with a copied profile.

Note: If you use Estimate Review or Compliance Utility in a network environment, the emsERS_Profile.mdb file may not be on the local computer as in the default path shown below. To find the location of the .mdb file in a network environment, in the Main window click Profiles and record the Profile path in the SystemPaths portion of Setup. |
To copy and distribute profiles
- On the computer where the profile you want to copy is located, Quit Estimate Review.
- Using Windows Explorer, navigate to the folder where Estimate Review is installed.
The default path is C:\Program Files\Estimate Review
- Copy the file emsERS_Profile.mdb to a safe location.
- Make the copied file available to the computer(s) where you want to use it. You can send the file as an e-mail attachment, place it on an accessible network drive, or copy it to a floppy disk.
- On the computer(s) where you want to use the copied profile, open Estimate Review and on the Help menu, select Exit.
- Replace the existing emsERS_Profile.mdb file with the copy that you made available in step 4.
