Check Compliance for Assignments from Insurance Companies

If you are writing an estimate for an appraisal assignment received from an insurance partner, you can check the compliance of the estimate using Estimate Advisor.

A Compliance Profile may be assigned to your shop by the insurance company. Check compliance before committing the estimate to ensure that it conforms to the rules set by the insurance company.

Follow the steps to check compliance:

1. To check compliance for an estimate, select Check Complianceon the SplitView, Parts, Estimate, or PDF Preview tabs. You are automatically redirected to the Estimate page.

   

2. The Compliance Report section displays at the top of the Estimate tab. It runs the estimate against the Estimate Advisor rules outlined by the insurance company in WorkCenter settings to check that no violations are found.

   Critical failures, required explanations, and warnings appear in the table outlining the severity, repair line number, description of the rule, actual amount, guideline amount, and a checkbox for whether the violation has been addressed for the next round.

   

3. If there are failures and errors, make the necessary changes to the estimate in order to pass the estimate advisor rules.

4. If desired, select the icon after the comment indicator under the description column to add a comment to the line item. The comment window opens.

   

5. Type a maximum of 250 characters for the comment and select Save.

6. Repeat the steps until no critical failures or warnings appear on the Compliance Report. You will receive a No compliance violations found. notification when the estimate free of estimate advisor violations and failures.

   

7. Commit the estimate.

8. When you are finished committing the estimate, click Send on the Job Overview page to send the estimate to the insurance company.

As a staff estimator working in Mitchell Cloud Estimating, you can check compliance on estimates while you are writing the estimate. You can also check compliance when committing the estimate.

Note: Any violations and explanations will be included when the estimate is sent to the insurance company.

1. To check compliance while writing the estimate from the Estimate Editor, click Check Compliance in the upper right corner of the page.
2. To check compliance when committing the estimate, click Commit. The Commit Estimate window appears with any estimate advisor violations or failures to remedy.
3. From the the Compliance Report, select the appropriate profile.
4. Click Run Compliance.
5. Review the Compliance Report columns for any compliance violations to remedy.
