Parts Provider: APU

1. On the navigation pane in Mitchell Connect, click Settings.
2. Click Parts Provider on the Parts card.

   

3. On the Parts Providers page, click Login next to APU.

   

   In the APU login window, type your Username and Password and then click Login.

   

4. Follow the onscreen prompts to complete your registration in APU.
5. On the Parts Providers page in Mitchell Connect, make sure that the APU bar is Active.
6. Click Done.

Now, parts can be sent to APU directly from Mitchell Cloud Estimating. View the instructions for how to "Use Parts Providers: APU"

1. In Mitchell Cloud Estimating, start a new estimate or open an existing estimate.
2. Add parts and repair lines to the estimate.
3. Navigate to the Estimate page and click Send to APU. A spinning, grayed out, and not clickable wheel icon appears next to the link. This indicates the send parts data is being sent from Mitchell Cloud Estimatingto the selected provider.

Note: In the 21.5 Release, Users with the ESTCT (Commercial Truck Add-on) role can utilize part sourcing links such as a APU for Medium Duty Truck vehicles. The part sourcing links remain hidden for estimates containing Commercial Heavy Duty or Generic Commercial type vehicles. Depending on the organization or shop configurations, the link(s) may not display.

4. You will receive a notification when the data has been successfully sent (4-10 seconds). Click Visit APU to open the APU website in a new browser window.
   

5. Continue the APU workflow on the APU website.

1. When you are finished with the part-quoting workflow in APU, click Upload Selections to Mitchell on the APU website to export your part selections back into Mitchell Cloud Estimating.
   
   
2. Click OK to return to the estimate in Mitchell Cloud Estimating.
   
   
   
   
3. In Mitchell Cloud Estimating, click Review Changes in the notification to apply part updates to the estimate. It may take up to 15 seconds for the notification to load.
   
   
   
4. When reviewing part updates from APU, you may have to resolve parts that did not automatically find a matching part in Mitchell Cloud Estimating. Click the green Resolve Parts button to continue.
5. Search the Mitchell database to find the corresponding par for any part listed on the left side of the page.
6. If a matching part cannot be found, click Add as Manual Line to add the part as is to your estimate. Click Reject to ignore the part.
7. When you are finished making changes, review your part updates before applying the updates to the estimate.
8. Part updates can be ignored on a part-by-part basis by deselecting the check box next to the part. Select or deselect all part updates by clicking the check box at the top of the screen.
9. Click Update Estimate to apply your updates to the estimate.
