Creating the Estimate

Download the assignment in RepairCenter Connect, complete and commit your estimate in your estimating program, and then use WorkCenter to upload the estimate to the insurance company. If you are using the Compliance Utility, your estimate is automatically reviewed to ensure compliance with the insurance company’s rules.

Complete and commit your estimate in your estimating program, and then use WorkCenter to upload the estimate to the insurance company. When you commit your estimate in GT Estimate, your estimate is automatically reviewed to ensure compliance with the insurance company’s rules.

Downloading the assignment automatically imports the assignment details into your estimating program. You need to manually enter the assignment details into your estimating program if you do not download the estimate.

How to

  1. Log on to your estimating program, or click it on the taskbar if you are already logged on.
  2. Click Write Estimate to start your estimating program.
  3. Switch to your estimating program.
  4. Ensure that the appropriate estimate profile is selected.
  5. (Optional) Enter the information from the WorkCenter Assignment Details page if you did not download the assignment.

    Important: Be sure to enter the claim number exactly as it appears on the assignment.

  6. Complete the repair lines per the insurance company's requirements.
  7. Calculate the estimate.
  8. Save the estimate.
  9. (Optional) If you are using Compliance Utility, the estimate review results appear. Review the results, and then revise the estimate to comply.
  10. Commit the estimate.
  • If the estimate needs to be revised to comply with the Compliance Utility results, you will receive an assignment email to create a supplement.
