Mitchell Estimating Files

Preparing Mitchell Estimating to export and upload estimates is easy.

  • First, configure your Estimate Reports and Import/Export preferences to generate a PDF Print Image and the required MIE and EMS files on commit.

  • Next, select EMS as a Mitchell Value Added Option (VAO) to enable EMS export of estimates.

Default Review File Location (All Formats: MIE, PDF, EMS)

  • C:\MITCHELL\ACES\REVIEW

Default Export File Location (EMS Only)

  • C:\CIECA\MITCHELL\EXPORT

How to

Note: If you are not able to view the Preferences or System Configuration selections from the System Info menu (described in the procedure below), you will need to log on to UltraMate (Standalone version) as Administrator, e.g., using Mitchell for both the User ID and Password.

  1. On the System Info menu, click Preferences.

  2. On the Estimate Reports tab, under Print with, click the PDF Print Image arrow, and then click Generate a single file PDF Print Image.

  3. On the Import/Export tab, select Review File Export.

  4. Select all of the Enable Review File Export options, including Use Full Filename.

  5. Set your Export Directory to C:\MITCHELL\ACES\REVIEW.

  6. Click OK to save your selections.

    Note: If you receive a message asking you to create the Export Directory, click OK. This will create the directory.

 

  1. On the System Info menu, click Configuration, Configure System Information.

  2. On the Value Added Options tab, select EMS as a Value Added Option.

  3. Click OK to save your selections.
