Working with Mitchell Diagnostics Scans in RepairCenter

Use the Diagnostics Scan page to view all Mitchell Diagnostics scans organized by Vehicle and VIN.

1. In RepairCenter, click Diagnostics under the Library tab.
2. Scroll through the list of scans or search for the scan by Vehicle, VIN, or Date using the search tool at the top of the page. Click the Vehicle, VIN, or Date and Time columns to sort.
3. Click the vehicle to open the completed scans.
4. If the vehicle has multiple scans, RepairCenterdisplays all scans for the vehicle in the order they were completed. Click the scan to view the full scan report. Click Diagnostics to return to the Scans list. Click All Scans to return to the Diagnostics Scans page.

1. In RepairCenter, navigate to the Diagnostics tab of any Job.

2. On the Diagnostics Reports page, click + Diagnostic Report.

   Note: Calibrations and Scans tabs appear if calibrations and scans are available. Use these tabs to view calibrations or scans.

3. In the Select Reports (s) to Associate window, click the vehicle you want to add reports to.

   Tip: Use the search feature to locate the vehicle and reports. Enter your search criteria in the search bar and click the search icon .

4. On the Select Reports (s) to Associate window, click the check box next to the reports you want to associate.

   

5. Click Add Selected.

6. In the next window, use the Reason for adding list to select why the diagnostic report was added.

7. Click Associate.

You can access Mitchell Diagnostic scans directly from an Opportunity or a Repair Order in the new Diagnostic tab.

1. On the Opportunity or Repair Order, click the Diagnostics tab. RepairCenter shows the number of scans completed that are associated with that VIN.

   Note: Scans are organized in the order they were completed with scans completed in the last 21 days separated from older scans.

2. Click the desired scan to view the full scan report.

You can mark a scan as a Pre-Scan, Post-Scan, or Other. You can also add comments about the report.

1. Open the desired Scan Report from the Diagnostics Scan page.
2. Click Edit to add comments or to modify existing comments. Your comments show near the top of the Scan Report.
3. Select one of the following if you want to label the scan:

• Pre-Scan: First scan prior to repairs.
• Post-Scan: Scan after repairs are complete.
• Other: Any scan which is not designated as a Pre or Post scan.

4. Click Save to save your changes.

You can download your scan report as a PDF.

1. Open the desired scan report from the Diagnostics Scan page.
2. Click Download. Follow the prompts to save the PDF file to a location on your computer.

You can print a copy of the scan report.

1. Open the desired Scan Report from the Diagnostics Scan page.
2. Click Print.

Manually enter or modify odometer mileage on scan reports.

Note: Some scans may be locked if they have already been shared with the insurance company. Locked scans cannot be edited.

1. Click the vehicle you want to modify on the Diagnostics Scan page.
2. Click the scan you want to modify in the Scans list.

   Tip: You can also access scans for a specific job from the Job Overview page. Click the Diagnostics card, then select the scan on the Diagnostics Reports page.

3. Click Edit next to the Mileage field and enter your changes.

   Tip: If you need to add notes about your change, click Edit next to the Comments field and enter your notes.

4. Click Save.

   

1. In RepairCenter, click Diagnostics under the Library tab.
2. Scroll through the list of scans or search for the MD-OEM scan by Vehicle, VIN, or Date using the search tool at the top of the page. Click the Vehicle, VIN, or Date and Time columns to sort.
3. Click the vehicle to open the completed scans.
4. Click View Invoice to see the invoice for OE scan.
5. Follow your internet browser prompts to open and save the PDF invoice.

The Scan Reports Pane shows on the right of your scan report. It offers an overview of the scans and provides controls for your report.

Note: Mitchell Diagnostics does not provide definitions for individual codes.

When you open the full report, the Vehicle Scan Information page shows your detailed report.
