Parts – The Return Reasons Tab

Use the Return Reasons tab to require a pre-defined return reason when a part is returned (recommended), and to configure those reasons.

Share return reasons by importing or exporting them as a .CSV file. Imported return reasons are added to existing reasons.

How to

  1. Click More, and then click Configuration.
  2. Click the Parts tab.
  3. Click the Return Reasons tab.
  1. On the Return Reasons tab, select the Require Return Reason when part is returned check box.
  2. Click Update to save your work.

ClosedAdd a return reason

  1. Click More, and then click Configuration.
  2. Click the Parts tab.
  3. Click the Return Reasons tab.
  1. On the Return Reasons tab, click Add.
  2. In the ADD Reason dialog box, type a return reason and then click OK.

ClosedEdit a return reason

  1. Click More, and then click Configuration.
  2. Click the Parts tab.
  3. Click the Return Reasons tab.
  1. On the Return Reasons tab,click to select the reason you want to edit.
  2. Click Edit.
  3. In the EDIT Reason dialog box, modify the reason as needed, and then click OK.

ClosedDelete a return reason

  1. Click More, and then click Configuration.
  2. Click the Parts tab.
  3. Click the Return Reasons tab.
  1. On the Return Reasons tab, in the Return Reasons list, click to select the reason you want to delete.
  2. Click Delete.
  3. In the confirmation message, click Yes.

ClosedImport return reasons

  1. Click More, and then click Configuration.
  2. Click the Parts tab.
  3. Click the Return Reasons tab.
  1. On the Return Reasons tab, click Import.
  2. In the Select your List File (Comma Delimited) dialog box, click to select to the appropriate .CSV file (you may need to browse to it).
  3. Click Open. The imported items are added to the existing list.

ClosedExport return reasons

  1. Click More, and then click Configuration.
  2. Click the Parts tab.
  3. Click the Return Reasons tab.
  1. On the Return Reasons tab, click Export.
  2. In the Select your List File (Comma Delimited) dialog box, in the File name box, type a name for the list you are exporting.
  • To save the .CSV file in a different location, browse to the target location.
  1. Click Save.

Reference

Name Description

Update

Saves any changes.

A red outline indicates changes have been made since your last save.

Add

Add a return reason.

Edit

Edit a return reason.

Delete

Delete a return reason.

Import

Import a .CSV file of return reasons, adding the imported reasons to the existing reasons.

Export

Export a .CSV file of return reasons.

Return Reasons list

The list of pre-defined return reasons.

Require Return Reason when part is returned

Indicates whether a pre-defined return reason is required when a part is returned.

When this check box is clear, the person returning a part can type a return reason, select a pre-defined return reason, or forgo a return reason.
