Dates

Use the Dates tab in an open opportunity or repair order to manage dates and schedule appointments.

This tab has three sections:

  • Opportunity includes dates related to the estimate.
  • Repair includes dates related to the repair process.
  • Delivery includes dates related to the delivery of the repaired vehicle.

Note: Dates affect almost everything in RepairCenter. Keep them updated to ensure accurate reporting.

How to

  • Open the opportunity or repair order you want to work in, and then click the Dates tab.
  1. Open the opportunity or repair order you want to work in, and then click the Dates tab.
  2. On the Dates tab, in the appropriate box, click to select a date.
  3. For dates with an associated time, type or select a time and period (A.M., P.M.).
  4. Click the Update button to save your work.
  • If the Change Reason dialog box appears, select the reason you changed a date or time, and then click Ok.
  1. Open the opportunity or repair order you want to work in, and then click the Dates tab.
  2. On the Dates tab, under Opportunity, in the Appointment date box, click to select a date.
  3. In the Appointment time box, type or select a time and period.

    Note: To avoid a duplicate appointment, you must enter a time.

  4. Click the Update button to save your work.
  • If the date, time, or estimator is already scheduled, a message appears. Click Yes to confirm the appointment, or click No to set a new time.
  1. Open the opportunity or repair order you want to work in, and then click the Dates tab.
  2. On the Dates tab, under Repair, in the Due In date box, click to select a date.
  3. In the Due In time box, type or select a time and period.

    Note: To prevent a duplicate appointment, you must specify a time.

  4. Click the Update button to save your work.
  • If the date or time is already scheduled, a message appears. Click Yes to confirm the appointment, or click No to set a new time.

Reference

Name Description

Loss

The date the vehicle was damaged.

Assignment Received

 The date the assignment is received, if you are licensed for Communications (read-only).

Appointment

 The date and time of the customer's appointment with the estimator to write an estimate.

Estimate

 The date the estimate is created (read-only).

Authorization Signature

 The date the customer signs the work authorization form.
Name Description

Sold

The date the RO is created.

Due In

The date and time the vehicle is scheduled to arrive at the shop for repair.

Arrived

The date the vehicle arrives at the shop for repair.

Started

The date work on the vehicle begins.

Completed

The date the vehicle is ready to be delivered to the customer.

Delivered

The date the vehicle is returned to the customer.

Internal Out

An internal date of your choice. ClosedExamples

  • A target date, set before the due out date, as a goal to finish the job early.
  • The date the vehicle must be in paint in order to finish the job in time.

Due Out

Date and time the vehicle is scheduled to be returned to the customer.

Closed

The date the repair order is closed (read-only). It is automatically set when the repair order is closed in accounting.
