Mitchell Total Loss
Mitchell Total Loss allows you to retrieve the market value for a total loss vehicle and reach a speedy settlement with the claimant or insured. The market value is derived from an extensive database of comparable vehicles that are for sale, or have been recently sold, in the local, regional, or national marketplace. The data is current and the results are statistically validated to ensure an accurate valuation.
If you already know the vehicle is a total loss, you can start the process on the Job Overview page from the Total Loss Valuation card or you can convert an estimate to a total loss in Mitchell Cloud Estimating.
Mitchell Connect opens Total Loss application windows in your browser where you complete the Adjustment and Report Details forms.
Note: This feature is not available to all Mitchell Connect users. Consult your workflow guide for your insurance company partner to see if Total Loss in Mitchell Connect is an option for your workflow. In some workflows, the job can be flagged as a Total Loss when you send an estimate and artifacts to the insurance company (see Send Estimate and Artifacts to Insurance).
Note: Some features for Shops and Staff Appraisers may vary. Not all features are available to all users.
